北美私募股权公司有望在2018年募集创纪录的基础设施投资资金。基金经理们正在押注铁路网络升级、天然气管道和数据中心扩张的需求增长。
《华尔街日报》报道称，根据信息分析公司Preqin的消息，相关的私募股权公司在前三个月募集了682亿美元，比2017年同期增长了18%，这超过了2016年全年662亿美元的金额。
其中领先的公司为KKR、Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners以及I Squared Capital，它们今年各自筹集了约70亿美元的资金。
基础设施领域通常受到北美养老基金等机构投资者的青睐，其主要原因是其稳定回报且收益不低（其收益介于安全的固收证券和风险更高的私募股权之间）。在利率仍接近历史低点、股价接近历史高点的情况下，这一点尤其具有吸引力。
